1. Try Black Owned Products
Why not try products from people that know your skin as well as you? Plus they usually have a better range of color choices. My favorite line right now is Fenty Beauty by Rihanna!

2. Try Yellow Based Foundation
We as woman of color have warm undertones and sometimes if we go with regular tints of foundation we can appear chalky or ashy so yellow base is likely to compliment us better.

3. Use Gold Shimmer and Highlight
Gold tones look so good against darker tones. It accentuates the melanin in our skin and gives it a pop to the natural glow we already have!

4. Dark Lipstick 
Now for fairer shades dark lipstick may come off as goth. But a nice deep red, rose, plum, navy or black lipsticks pair nicely with darker shades of skin.

5. Metallic Eye-shadow
Sometimes it is hard to make colors pop on our skin unless you put down a primer or concealer on your lid first. Metallic and shimmery shadows will pop more and give you that vivid dramatic look you are trying to achieve!

Beauty is only skin deep so make sure your taking care of your skin by exfoliating and moisturizing. Coconut oils do wonders for your body and hair and have the essential natural minerals and vitamins that the body needs. And its cost efficient!
